Module 05 · Strategic Planning

Implementation Roadmap

Sequence the work, the owners, and the dollars.

What this module does

A plan without a roadmap is a wish. Module 05 sequences the work, assigns the owners, and attaches the budget so the plan can actually leave the room.

On sequencing and adapting a roadmap when conditions keep shifting.

Worked example
HEAL NH, Strategic Plan 2011, 2014, Goal Four.
Goal Four: Secure the necessary people, finances and organizational supports to achieve HEAL's strategic goals. 4.1 By 2012, fully define the role of the Leadership Council. 4.2 By 2014, reassess and revise the committee structure to function more effectively. 4.3 By 2014, implement a multi-year diversified revenue strategy that ensures financial stability.

What to copy: HEAL's roadmap sequenced governance first (define the Council in year one), structure second (revise committees by year three), and revenue across the full three years. Notice the dated milestones, that's the level of specificity your Module 05 roadmap needs.
